We’re looking for a UI/UX designer to join our growing software development team to produce high quality software designs that our developers can turn into reality. You will work closely with our developers to design new features, improve existing functionality, and maintain a coherent design system for our industry leading, and award winning, solar and heat pump design platforms, Easy PV and Heatpunk.
This role is ideal for a designer with experience working in UI and UX design for public facing web applications. A solid understanding of the practical realities of web development and software delivery will be valuable. We are seeking a candidate with a strong sense of design and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Contributing to both new feature development and improvements of our existing software (Easy PV and Heatpunk).
- Collaborating with stakeholders and developers to define features and user flows.
- Creating wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready designs using tools such as Figma.
- Breaking down large-scale projects into stages for practical implementation.
- Generating accessible, user-centered designs that adhere to industry standards.
- Maintaining and improving our design systems and style guides.
- Offering design support for our e-commerce site and internal systems.
You are an experienced UI/UX designer with a keen eye for aesthetics and an intuitive sense of user workflow. You enjoy working collaboratively but are personally motivated. You will have a flexible approach to the software design and development process and remain responsive to the specific needs and constraints of each project. You have excellent communication and collaborative skills.
What we offer:
You’ll be joining a young, dynamic company with positive values that is aiming to position itself as the leading distributor of renewable energy systems in the UK. As a UI/UX Designer you will be joining our software division that we see as crucial to the success of the company, and with enormous potential for growth. This will be a challenging but fulfilling role. Salary is negotiable and will depend on your experience. We aim to be competitive. In addition to base salary we have a policy of sharing a proportion of the profits of the company amongst long-term employees. You do get a free bag of delicious, fresh, locally-grown organic veg every week.
