Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as a Senior Ecologist and help shape the future of the environment. You will work on a diverse portfolio of ecology programs and projects across sectors including power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams such as landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage, you will contribute to projects like large solar farms, energy transition initiatives, habitats regulations assessments, and master planning for new residential developments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the preparation of high-quality and commercially astute bids and tenders
- Planning and organising ecological project phases
- Delivering consultancy and advisory services
- Developing pragmatic solutions to complex ecological challenges
- Communicating effectively within teams and with clients
- Authoring or reviewing project deliverables to ensure excellence

Experience: Demonstrable experience in planning and delivery of ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland; excellent field skills in at least one specialist area including protected species licences; mentoring and supporting ecology team members.
About you: A proactive approach to Health and Safety; strong communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues and clients; passion for innovation and delivering high-quality ecological consultancy; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications: Membership of an appropriate professional institution (such as CIEEM) and evidence of working towards Chartership; well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation legislation and best practice.
