Requirements

We are a Solar PV distributor offering a unique graduate scheme that sees our grads get involved in all aspects of a busy and growing renewables sector.

Who We're Looking For

You’re intelligent, friendly, good with technical detail, and you want a career that will make a difference. Perhaps you’re inclined to start your own business one day — at any rate disappearing into a large organisation or doing the same thing every day doesn’t appeal. You’re eager for early responsibility and you want to find out first-hand how a growing business operates in a young and competitive industry. You’re ambitious, passionate about the environment and about business. You’re well-rounded in your skill-set — you’ve a head for figures, great communication skills and you’re willing to get stuck in. Don’t meet all these requirements? Don’t worry, you might still be the right person for the job. If you have enthusiasm and potential we want to hear from you!

The purpose of the graduate scheme is to give you wide-ranging experience of all aspects of operating a small company. You will spend time in various departments of the business, possibly some of the following:

  • Graduate Scheme Rotations
  • Solar Sales Team — Working with the Sales and Administrative teams, you will deal direct with customer enquiries and orders. You will speak to customers on the phone or via email, process online orders, assist with customer payments and stock or design queries, liaise with the operations team about deliveries and logistics, and spend time in one of our warehouses.
  • Renewable Heat Team — Learn the technical ins and outs of heat pumps and system design considerations for retrofit and new build applications. Handle customer enquiries, work with hardware hands-on, and develop using our heat pump sizing software, Heatpunk.
  • Marketing and Communications — Assist with planning and logistics for trade shows, design materials for product launches, or contribute to blog content.
  • Software Sales — Promote and support customers to use and get the most from our software tools, Easy PV and Heatpunk. Provide technical support, resolve issues, and ensure a smooth user experience.

As well as the above, the scheme will expose you to business functions that may include the following:

  • Operations & Purchasing
  • Off Grid Systems
  • Business Development
  • Administration & Accounting
  • Technical Support
  • Warehouse & Logistics

As a hands-on introduction to all aspects of running a small company, the graduate scheme will equip you with skills and experience that would transfer to any small but growing firm, and provide insight into a career in the renewables industry.

Benefits

You will be joining a young, dynamic company with positive values aiming to position itself as the leading distributor of renewable energy systems in the UK. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, with a real buzz when things get busy. The programme offers a salary of £29,000 with 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. There is the possibility of a long-term position for the right candidate, as well as the chance to develop contacts in a growing industry.

Benefits include:

  • Free bag of delicious, fresh, locally-grown organic veg every week
  • Pension salary sacrifice scheme
  • Employee Assistance Package
  • EV salary sacrifice scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Free bike maintenance
  • Early finish on a Friday
  • Lots of clubs to get involved with and company socials
  • On-site parking

We are flexible on start dates, but generally expect those on the graduate scheme to join us some time over the summer. You do not need to be fresh from the graduation ceremony but this is a career development opportunity in the renewable sector.
