Solar Careers UK, is a division of the solar industry’s trade association Solar Energy UK, who represent 425+ solar businesses, many that specialise in providing high quality solar installations to domestic, commercial, and utility-scale clients. We have been asked to assist them with the recruitment of full-time and permanent solar teams from across all regions of the United Kingdom.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems that support the installation and operation of cutting-edge solar technology. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring that projects not only meet safety and regulatory standards but also operate efficiently and effectively.
You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that make a real difference in reducing carbon footprints and promoting energy independence. Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for solar projects
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety standards
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for potential solar installations
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to implement system designs
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to resolve electrical issues during installation and operation
- Oversee and coordinate electrical works during installation phases
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project updates for stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in electrical design
- Familiarity with solar energy systems or other sector technology
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations
