This is a key leadership role with the Council that oversees and manages all aspects of the Council’s physical space at civic offices and other locations. You will support the maintenance of an efficient and safe working environment, which in turn supports the delivery of high-quality services to our customers. Responsible for hard and soft facilities management, you will lead an in-house team, as well as quality assuring the performance of external contractors. You will ensure that appropriate systems and management controls are in place across the estate to monitor performance and ensure adherence to relevant health & safety and wider statutory compliance. This will include the production of regular reports to senior officers on agreed key performance indicators. With a keen focus on customer services, you will provide a proactive tenant service responding to questions, requests, and problems in a timely manner.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Significant experience of leading FM services in a multi-site and multi-disciplinary setting.
- Relevant professional qualification.
- Versatile skillset including leadership, strategic planning, and operational management with responsibilities such as budgeting, maintenance, repairs, renovations, compliance with safety and legal regulations, and managing facilities teams and/or contractors.
- Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety Management systems and statutory/regulatory requirements.
- Strong people and performance management skills and ability to promote a professional, customer-centric culture.
