Are you looking for a rewarding role working for an intersectional feminist organisation? If so, we have an incredible opportunity for you to join our team as a Clinical LeadManager at Solace Women's Aid.

Our core values reflect our history and were developed in consultation with staff and service users. Feminism and intersectionality are key to our work, and we are committed to the principles of being survivor-led, trauma-informed, empowering, diverse, anti-racist and anti-discriminatory.

About the Service

The North London Rape Crisis (NLRC) offers range of services to women and girls aged 11 + who are experiencing or have experienced any form of sexual violence in their lives. We offer a safe and non-judgmental space to women to access therapeutic, advocacy, and group support. Our team of specialist counsellors and Independent Sexual Violence Advocates support women and girls in their recovery journeys following sexual violence. Our service is person centred, trauma-informed, and grounded in feminist principles.

The service sits within the Pan-London Sexual Violence Alliance, a group of seven specialist organisations providing support to survivors of sexual violence across London. The postholder will be required to work collaboratively with the other organisations, attend regular Alliance meetings and contribute to the development and maintenance of sound clinical practice within the Alliance.

About the Role

The role provides support to counsellors to provide dedicated therapeutic support to women who have experienced sexual violence, in a psychologically informed working environment with a feminist ethos of care and support. The role will provide effective clinical advice and guidance to a team of counsellors. This includes reviewing service provision for all 1:1 counselling and group work programmes at NLRC, in collaboration with Team Leaders and the Service Manager.

The postholder will provide clinical support to counsellors, offering guidance on clinical matters including safeguarding concerns and shared clinical responsibility. This role is grounded in an intersectional framework, utilising innovative and holistic approaches to engage and support survivors engaging with the NRLC service.

About You

You'll be an experienced mental health professional who holds a professional counselling qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience of counselling or psychotherapy delivery. You will hold BACP accreditation, or be willing to work towards accreditation. You will work in a person-centred, psychologically-informed way and will be guided by a feminist ethos in your work. You will be service user focused, committed to continuous learning and development, and enshrine anti-discriminatory practices in your work.
