Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Colchester for the position of Job Title. The primary responsibilities include training participants in barista skills, food hygiene, and customer service; providing guidance and mentorship; and delivering coaching sessions to encourage personal development. The role also involves collaborating with mental health professionals to support participants, organizing workshops, and ensuring program goals are met effectively. Additionally, the role includes operational tasks related to managing the coffee shop and creating a welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in barista skills, food hygiene, and customer service techniques, with the ability to train others in these areas.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and people management skills, with a passion for empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in program development or delivering educational workshops is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of mental health support practices, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to multitask and manage operations in a busy coffee shop environment.
- Flexibility, resilience, and problem-solving skills to address challenges and foster a positive environment.
- Previous experience in a social enterprise or working with vulnerable groups is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in hospitality, social work, education, or a related field is advantageous.
