Job Title: truck driver
Location: 3474 Mainway Burlington, ON L7M 1A8 (On site)
Salary: $36.00 per hour (30–35 hours per week)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full time

Overview
This full‑time truck driver position involves planning routes, driving in pairs or convoys, loading and unloading goods, and performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance while operating on international routes.
Responsibilities
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.
- Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy.
- Load and unload goods.
- Obtain special permits and other documents required for transporting cargo on international routes.
- Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Pay and receive payments for goods.
- Perform brake adjustments.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs.
- Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all vehicle aspects.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo.
Qualifications
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience: Will train.
Credentials: AZ class license; bondable.
Skills & Personal Attributes: Flexibility, reliability, team player.
Physical Requirements: Large workload, repetitive tasks, sitting.
Work Conditions
Work must be completed at the physical location. Remote work is not an option.
