Job role: Transport Manager Location: Sheffield Job Type: Full-time A great opportunity for an experienced Transport Manager to take ownership, make a real impact and help build a scalable transport operation as the business grows. You ll be responsible for driver management, recruitment, route planning, fleet management and improving transport processes, with the opportunity to help shape the operation as the business expands. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the HGV driver team. * Recruit, interview and onboard drivers. * Plan and optimise daily HGV collection routes. * Manage driver performance, attendance and productivity. * Develop transport KPIs, processes and reporting. * Manage vehicle defects, servicing, MOTs and breakdowns. * Ensure vehicles and operations remain safe and compliant. * Improve efficiency and reduce delays and missed collections. * Support the transition from subcontracted to company-owned fleet operations. * Help develop future supervisors and transport management structures.
