A market-leading utilities consultancy is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Metering Specialist to join its growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing metering-related activities across an existing portfolio of clients, including new connections, smart meter installations, meter upgrades, and renewable energy solutions. The role supports internal account management and operations teams by overseeing metering-related projects and enquiries, ensuring delivery is efficient, compliant, and aligned with client requirements. Previous experience in utilities or metering is beneficial, although full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their energy and metering requirements
  • Manage metering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are achieved
  • Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, billing, finance, sales, and data analytics
  • Act as the primary point of contact for metering suppliers, contractors, and service providers
  • Monitor supplier performance, service level agreements, and delivery standards
  • Ensure all metering activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate documentation, compliance records, and audit logs
  • Identify process improvements and support the development of standard operating procedures
  • Provide guidance on metering technologies and processes when required
  • Proactively identify and manage project or operational risks
