The Role
As an Account Manager, you will manage and develop an existing portfolio of commercial waste clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention and account growth. You will also identify new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking and cross-selling. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping businesses optimise their waste management services while working closely with internal teams to deliver a smooth and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop an established portfolio of commercial waste accounts
- Build strong customer relationships and deliver excellent account management
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking and cross-selling
- Prepare quotations, proposals and contract renewals
- Negotiate with waste suppliers to secure competitive pricing and service solutions
- Monitor contract renewals and identify opportunities to improve client arrangements
- Work closely with internal teams to support onboarding and service delivery
- Maintain accurate CRM records and manage your sales pipeline
- Keep up to date with waste industry developments, legislation and market trends
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience in Account Management, Business Development or B2B Sales. Previous experience within waste management, utilities or facilities management would be advantageous, but a proactive, commercial approach and strong relationship-building skills are key.
