Salary: £30,000 basic + uncapped commission OTE £50-80K and company vehicle

The Role

As a Certificated Enforcement Agent, you will be responsible for attending residential and commercial addresses to enforce court orders and recover outstanding debts on behalf of local authority clients. Your duties will include:

  • Visiting addresses within your allocated area to execute warrants and court orders
  • Assessing debtors’ financial circumstances and gathering relevant income information
  • Assisting debtors with completing financial documentation where required
  • Securing payment in full or negotiating realistic repayment arrangements
  • Conducting professional and discreet enquiries when debtors have vacated properties
  • Identifying vulnerable individuals and referring them to appropriate support services
  • Liaising with internal teams regarding active cases and case updates
  • Managing and recording payments, receipts, and related documentation accurately
  • Completing reports and paperwork following each visit
  • Taking control of goods and arranging removals where legally necessary
  • Ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislation, health & safety procedures, and national enforcement standards

About You

Essential Requirements (Certificated)

  • Level 2 Taking Control of Goods Qualification
  • Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of two years

  • Debt recovery (desirable).
  • Working within a regulated environment.
  • Conflict resolution and excellent communication skills.
  • Calm and confident in dealing with the general public in a face to face environment.
