Equans is recruiting for a Caretaker to join the team in Newcastle Fire Station, Elswick NE4 6HL. This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,460.00 per annum and benefits package.
Shift times:
- Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 15:30
- Friday 07:30 - 15:00
What you will deliver:
The Caretaker will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of services provided to Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Authority by Equans at any of their PFI Estate. You will ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with the appropriate schedules and standards. They will undertake a range of PPM tasks at a frequency specified by corresponding plans and industry standards. The Caretaker will also be responsible for logging any jobs that arise whilst on site, as well as monitoring and taking the appropriate action with regards to jobs that have been allocated to them. This is a customer-facing role and demands excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Who are we looking for?
- Experience of operational delivery of FM Services
- Previous experience of supervision desirable
- Experience in a front-facing, customer-centric role
- Full clean driving licence is essential
- A DBS (enhanced) check will be required
