Our client is a well-established and growing care provider seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to support the business through a key period of operational and commercial development. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring an individual who can provide both strategic financial oversight and day-to-day operational finance leadership within a complex, multi-site care environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, governance and compliance.
  • Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Provide financial insight and support to the Executive Team and operational leaders.
  • Drive cashflow management and working capital optimisation.
  • Support commercial decision-making through detailed financial analysis.
  • Oversee audit, statutory reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across finance operations.
  • Partner closely with Operations teams to improve financial performance across the portfolio.

About You

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Significant senior finance leadership experience within the care home sector is essential.
  • Previous experience as Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Divisional Finance Director or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of multi-site care home operations, occupancy drivers and fee structures.
  • Commercially minded, highly credible and capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and delivering results quickly.
