Soils Limited is seeking an intermediate level Engineer to join our team in Winchester and support our ongoing growth. Soils Limited was founded in 1982 and now works on projects across the country from our offices in Surrey, Hampshire and Cornwall. We are a Geotechnical and Environmental Consultancy, supported by an in-house team of Technicians with our own drilling rigs to service our projects. The company has built a strong reputation for offering pragmatic and value-driven solutions to our clients, and, as such, much of our business comes from repeat customers and recommendations.

Hours: 40 working hours per week, Monday – Friday.
Location: This role will be located at our office in Winchester, SO23 0LB.
Responsibilities:
- Managing projects including site works, stakeholders, and the development of project deliverables.
- Support the delivery of reporting and design packages.
- Assist in preparing quotes and technical proposals.
- Preparing technical reports and supporting junior colleagues with technical queries.
- Lead project meetings and client interactions as the lead Engineer.
- Helping to foster a culture of high-quality engineering and client satisfaction.
- Management and supervision of site works.
Qualifications and Capabilities:
- BSc or BEng in Engineering Geology / Civil Engineering / Environmental Geology or a related subject.
- Working towards Chartership with a relevant Professional Organisation.
- Technical experience to include:
- Planning, execution and supervision of site investigation works
- Experience in the design of both shallow and deep foundations
- Progressive experience in Geotechnical Engineering
- Understanding of the concepts of soil mechanics
- Familiarity with concepts and reporting of Contaminated Land preferred, including Phase 1 through 3 documentation
- Awareness and experience of managing commercial risk on projects.
