2. The opportunity
We are looking for an Account Executive - UK Market to develop Soil Capital’s commercial activities across the UK agri-food value chain and adjacent sectors, including water and financial services.
This is a hands-on, field-oriented role combining new business development and programme delivery. You will be responsible for signing new commercial partnerships with UK merchants, traders, cooperatives and CPG corporates connect corporates farmers, including launching and running local programmes.
3. Your responsibilities
New business development
- Identify, prospect and sign new commercial partnerships with UK agricultural merchants, traders, cooperatives and CPG companies.
- Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation and pitching through negotiation and closing.
- Close collaboration with Camille, our Account Manager when the deal is signed.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with revenue targets.
- Represent Soil Capital at industry events, trade shows and partner meetings.
Market and field engagement
- Maintain a strong presence in the field through regular visits to partners and farms.
- Bring market insights into product, commercial and go-to-market decisions.
- Contribute to the development and execution of Soil Capital’s UK market strategy.
4. What we are looking for
Essential experience and skills
- 4–5 years of experience in sales, business development or a related commercial role.
- A proven track record of closing B2B deals and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with a broader team.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership mentality and a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
Agricultural knowledge
- Good understanding of UK agriculture, farming systems and agri-food supply chains.
- Ability to engage credibly with merchants, traders, cooperatives, processors and other agricultural stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience in sustainability, carbon markets, ecosystem services or regenerative agriculture.
- An existing network across the UK agricultural or agri-food sector.
- Experience launching multi-stakeholder programmes.

- Hiring lead interview — 45 minutes with Marguerite, Head of Corporate Sales.
- Technical interview — 1 hour with Andrew, Chief Impact Officer and Nathalie, Chief Revenue Officer.
- Final interview — 15 minutes with the Alejandro, Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer based in London.
