We are looking for an entrepreneurial and strategic Head of Marketing to lead and scale Soil Capital’s marketing function. This role is central to building our brand in the emerging regenerative agriculture market, driving growth, supporting sales, and contributing to the development of new products and offers. You will oversee brand strategy, communications, PR, demand generation, product marketing, and team management while working closely with Marguerite (Head of Sales) and Nathalie (CRO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning: Own and lead the Soil Capital brand strategy, including positioning, messaging, visual identity, communications, and all elements of the marketing mix. Define and strengthen Soil Capital’s positioning in the emerging regenerative agriculture market. Ensure consistency and excellence across all brand assets, graphic design, website, content, and external communications. Develop the company’s value proposition, messaging framework, and key narratives for different audiences including the marketing mix of new products and services. Monitor competitors, customer feedback, and market trends to continuously refine Soil Capital’s positioning.
  • Lead Generation and Engagement: Drive lead generation through multi-channel campaigns to support the sales pipeline. Build and execute demand generation strategies across digital marketing, content, events, partnerships, email campaigns, paid media, and social media. Work closely with sales to align campaigns with commercial priorities and pipeline objectives. Track marketing KPIs such as lead volume, conversion rates, pipeline contribution, customer acquisition cost, and ROI. Use data and performance insights to optimize campaigns and resource allocation.
  • Product Marketing and Sales Support: Work closely with Marguerite, Head of Sales and Nathalie, CRO to support revenue growth initiatives. Create sales enablement materials including presentations, case studies, brochures, and product messaging. Support Nathalie in the development of new products from product definition to go-to-market plans and launches. Help define target audiences, buyer personas, and ideal customer profiles.
  • Communications & PR: Lead public relations activities with the support of an external PR agency. Build Soil Capital’s thought leadership position through content, media opportunities, events, and speaking engagements. Oversee content strategy including website content, case studies, newsletters, customer stories, white papers, and social media. Manage external agencies, freelancers, and partners when relevant.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of 3–4 marketing professionals. Build a strong marketing culture focused on collaboration, creativity, speed, and accountability. Manage the marketing budget and prioritize investments across channels and initiatives. Ensure strong collaboration between marketing, sales, product, and our Management Team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing, ideally in a fast-growing B2B environment such as SaaS companies.
  • Experience within the sustainability, climate, agfood sector; Regen Ag is a plus.
  • Strong strategic vision and proven experience positioning brands in emerging market segments.
  • Experience managing marketing campaigns and generating qualified leads for sales teams.
  • Experience managing PR initiatives and external agencies.
  • Previous experience leading and developing teams.
  • Hard Skills: strong strategic marketing and brand positioning capabilities; lead generation and campaign management; communications, content, and graphic design principles; creativity with ability to invent new formats (webinar series, content franchises, storytelling, etc.) that engage B2B audiences; ability to use data and KPIs to drive decision-making and measure impact; experience with CRM (HubSpot is a plus), marketing automation, and analytics tools.
  • Soft Skills: entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive attitude; comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment; creative thinker with the ability to bring new ideas; results-oriented and data-driven; strong collaboration and communication skills; hands-on approach with strong execution capabilities.
