Soil Capital is on a mission to regenerate over 10 million hectares of land by 2030, addressing our environmental and food security challenges through regenerative and low-carbon agriculture. As a leading expert in this field, we have developed the first payment for ecosystem services program for farmers in Europe. Through our certified programme and our platform, Soil Capital leads the food and ag sector transformation by engaging with blue chip organisations who seek to deliver on their environmental commitments and build supply chain resilience. These businesses purchase regenerative units, acting as an incentive for farmers to measure and improve their agricultural practices. Our technology supports farmers by allowing them to efficiently and accurately measure farming practices, as well as the GHG balance of their farm which we then audit and certify to generate certificates. This helps farmers understand the levers to accelerate their adoption of regenerative practices. In the past ten years, Soil Capital has established itself as a thought leader and a driver of change at scale in France, the U.K. and Belgium. Pursuing its ambitious growth trajectory, it is now expanding geographical and product scopes.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a UK Sales Manager to drive the development of our UK commercial activities within the Agri-food value chain and around it (water, financial services, etc). This is a hybrid role combining new business sales and hands-on account management, with a strong on-the-ground presence. You will be responsible for signing new commercial partnerships with UK merchants, traders, cooperatives and CPG corporates, while also managing and growing existing accounts through close field engagement, including launching and running local programmes. This role requires strong commercial acumen, relationship-building skills, and a solid understanding of UK agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development
    • Identify, prospect and sign new commercial partnerships with UK agricultural merchants, traders and cooperatives.
    • UK and international CPG corporates with UK supply chains.
    • Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, pitching, negotiation and closing.
    • Build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with revenue targets.
    • Represent Soil Capital at industry events, trade shows and partner meetings.
  • Account Management & Programme Delivery
    • Manage and grow a portfolio of UK accounts post-signature (Cefetra, Boortmalt, Oxbury...).
    • Launch and run programmes on the ground, working closely with partners and internal teams.
    • Act as the main point of contact for UK partners, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term engagement.
    • Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Market & Field Engagement
    • Maintain a strong field presence, including regular visits to partners and farms.
    • Bring insights from the ground to inform product, commercial and go-to-market strategy.
    • Contribute to the development of the UK market strategy alongside Nathalie, our CRO.

Your profile

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in sales, business development or commercial roles in Agri-food, agriculture, commodities, sustainability, or related sectors.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of closing B2B deals.
  • Solid account management capabilities and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating closely with a broader team.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and strong ownership mentality.
  • Comfortable in a hybrid role blending office, field and client meetings.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on and results-driven.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders.

Agricultural Knowledge

  • Good understanding of UK agriculture, including farming systems and supply chains.
  • Merchants, traders, cooperatives and processors.
  • Ability to engage credibly with agricultural stakeholders on the ground.

What We Offer

  • Flexible holidays policy: Take the holidays you need, while coordinating with your team and respecting the demands of your role.
  • Health insurance.
  • Team incentive bonus: Based on your total salary package.
  • Flexible remote work: You can work remotely 2 days per week, with flexibility, provided you coordinate with your colleagues.
