Scope of the Job
At Soho House, the Regional Director, Cecconi's & Public Restaurants is a senior regional leader responsible for the performance, evolution, and long-term growth of our public restaurant portfolio across the UK & Europe. This role leads a diverse collection of high-profile restaurants and hospitality concepts, including Cecconi's, Dean Street Townhouse, Café Boheme, and other public-facing restaurants. Working across multiple markets, brands, and operating models, the Regional Director ensures each business delivers an exceptional guest experience while achieving strong and sustainable commercial performance.
As a strategic operator, brand ambassador, and culture carrier, the Regional Director of Cecconi's and Public Restaurants works closely with Regional Directors, General Managers and senior restaurant leaders to drive operational excellence, strengthen leadership capability, and ensure the consistent delivery of Soho House standards. The role connects regional strategy with local execution, balancing the individuality and character of each restaurant with the commercial discipline, operational standards, and hospitality excellence required across the portfolio.
Working closely with senior leadership and central functions, this role will shape the future of the public restaurant business across the business, identifying opportunities for growth, improving performance, developing talent, and ensuring our restaurants remain distinctive, relevant, and commercially successful.
A successful Regional Director will be an influential and highly credible hospitality leader, capable of operating at both a strategic and operational level. They will build strong relationships with restaurant leadership teams, create alignment across markets, and bring the experience, judgment, and commercial instinct required to lead a complex and high-profile international portfolio.
Main Duties:
- Provide creative, strategic and operational leadership across the Cecconi's and Public Restaurants portfolio throughout the UK and Europe, ensuring strong performance, consistent standards, and alignment with the wider business strategy.
- Act as a trusted partner and coach to General Managers and senior restaurant leaders, strengthening leadership capability, accountability, succession planning, and operational performance.
- Drive the commercial performance of the restaurants, working closely with Finance and operational leaders to manage revenue, profitability, labour, costs, and overall business performance.
- Review business performance regularly, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks and implementing clear action plans to improve operational effectiveness and commercial results.
- Protect and evolve the identity, quality, and hospitality standards of each restaurant while ensuring consistency in the principles and expectations that define the wider business.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute the long-term strategy for the public restaurants, including growth opportunities, new concepts, openings, acquisitions, and business development.
- Develop the existing product, updating and changing concepts, refreshing the product look and feel and overall direction of the brands.
- Work closely with central functions including People & Development, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Finance, Marketing, F&B, Design and other key stakeholders to ensure priorities are delivered effectively.
- Drive talent development, retention, and succession planning across the restaurants, ensuring a strong pipeline of future General Managers and senior operational leaders.
- Lead and support the successful delivery of new openings, major refurbishments, restaurant developments, and significant business initiatives.
- Conduct regular site visits and structured business reviews to assess performance, coach leadership teams, and identify opportunities, and ensure operational and cultural standards are being delivered.
- Support restaurant leaders in delivering exceptional guest experiences, strong team cultures, and consistently high standards of food, beverage, service, and hospitality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, allergy procedures, health and safety, and all relevant local regulatory requirements.
- Represent the public restaurant business at a senior level, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and acting as an ambassador for the Soho House brand.
- Provide leadership input into annual planning, budgeting, and long-term operational and commercial strategies.
