The Role… At Soho House, as a Hotel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for members and guests, delivering an exceptional arrival and departure experience. Your role is key in ensuring a warm welcome, smooth check-in and check-out, and efficient handling of reservations, guest inquiries, and front desk operations. Key duties…

  • Greet members and guests warmly and professionally on arrival
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, following internal protocols
  • Manage bookings, cancellations, and room allocations using the hotel’s PMS (Property Management System)
  • Answer guest questions and resolve complaints or concerns with empathy and discretion
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, concierge, spa, and other departments to ensure a seamless experience
  • Process payments accurately and issue invoices or receipts as required
  • Handle phone, email, and in-person inquiries promptly and helpfully
  • Keep reception and lobby areas tidy, welcoming, and well-presented
  • Maintain guest confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and club data policies
  • Assist with wake-up calls, transportation bookings, and general concierge duties as needed

What we are looking for...

A successful Hotel Receptionist for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role, ideally in hospitality or luxury environments
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel booking systems (e.g., Opera, Protel)
  • Reliable, organised, and well-groomed with a calm, professional manner
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and stay solution-focused

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a private members club or boutique hotel
  • Multilingual abilities
  • First Aid or Fire Safety certification
  • Knowledge of local attractions, transportation options, and club amenities
