At Soho House, a Runner plays a vital supporting role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of service between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. As a key link in the dining experience, the Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverages promptly, maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the service areas.

Your main responsibility is to assist the waiting staff and make sure the member gets a superior experience. You will deliver food orders from the kitchen (or drinks orders from the bar) to members’ tables, acting as a point of contact between the kitchen/bar and the floor.

Key duties:

  • Bring food/drink quickly from the kitchen/bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members.
  • Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment.
  • Provides service to and is accountable for an assigned section.
  • Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
  • Polishing cutlery ensuring they are ready for service.
  • Preparing any additions to tables in advance (preparing lemon wraps, condiments, butter portions etc).
  • Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations.
  • Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
  • Maintain a spotless and pristine working environment.
  • Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.

What we are looking for:

  • 2–3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge, including wine service.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Confident, polished, and professional demeanour.
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software.

The salary range for this role if filled within the UK is listed below. The range for the position in different geographies may vary based on market differences.
