The Role…

At Soho House, the

Laundry Assistant plays a vital role in the housekeeping team, ensuring all linen, towels, uniforms, and guest items are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards.

Working within the laundry department, you will be responsible for operating laundry equipment, sorting and processing items, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

The Laundry Assistant will support the wider housekeeping and operations team by maintaining efficiency, cleanliness, and organisation within the laundry area.

  • Key duties…
  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, press, and fold linen, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry.
  • Operate laundry machinery (washers, dryers, irons, presses) safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect items for stains or damage and treat or report them appropriately.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the laundry room.
  • Follow correct procedures for handling guest laundry and dry-cleaning requests.
  • Ensure stock of clean linen and uniforms is well maintained and distributed as required.
  • Monitor the condition of linen, towels, and uniforms, reporting any items needing replacement.
  • Adhere to health safety and hygiene standards, including safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock control of laundry supplies.

What we are looking for...

A successful Laundry Assistant for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service.

You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.

  • Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or similar environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of laundry operations and fabric care preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
