Overview
Shoreditch House is located in East London’s Tea Building. Highlights include a gym and rooftop pool with panoramic views across the city. The house spans the fifth and sixth floors, with 26 bedrooms, a Cowshed Spa, two restaurants and a daily programme of events. The Members\’ restaurant on the fifth floor serves an all-day club menu, while the rooftop Japanese restaurant Pen Yen offers sushi, sashimi and dishes from the robata grill. The back-deck dining space on the rooftop is the new home for Maya, a Mexican-inspired dining concept bringing coastal Baja Mexican cuisine to the Shoreditch rooftop space.
Role
We are currently in search of an enthusiastic and highly organised Operations Assistant who is responsible for the operations of the back-of-house areas, working with the Operations Manager to ensure the house runs smoothly. The role includes overseeing the receiving and delivery team, CGS inventory, consumables and stock levels.
Responsibilities
- Support with BOH Dayforce tasks: forecasts, schedules, timesheets, requests, to meet deadlines and wage targets
- Support departments with consumable and CGS enquiries/orders
- Cross check orders on Adaco
- Cross check invoices on Adaco and process for payment
- Follow up on credit notes and order issues
- Keeping stock rooms secure and introducing internal ordering systems
- Ensure CGS counts are completed as per company schedule
- Follow up on CGS variances and highlights
- Complete daily walk-arounds for BOH venue
- Ensure record keeping is accurate and up to date, internal H&S checks
- Support safety and operations manager with H&S requirements; incidents, Alert 65
- Support operations manager with staff birthdays, reward and recognition
- Ensure required team trainings are attended and records maintained
- Building relationships with suppliers
- Supervising the delivery team and duties
Qualifications
- Experience in a luxury hospitality environment
- A proven interest in Operations & Logistics
- Enthusiastic, positive, can-do attitude
- Eye for detail
- Clear & effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
