Overview
At Soho House, a Landscape Assistant supports the landscaping and grounds team in maintaining beautiful, safe, and functional outdoor areas for members and guests.
You will assist with planting, garden care, and outdoor projects to ensure the grounds remain visually stunning and in line with the club's overall aesthetic.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop all landscaped areas to an excellent standard.
- Research plantings and horticultural techniques to develop the growing estate.
- Perform gardening duties such as planting, pruning, lawn mowing, wildflower maintenance, hedge cutting, weed control, mulching, irrigating planted areas, leaf collection, etc.
- Complete turfing and seeding works.
- Operate machinery and maintain tools, machinery and equipment.
- Assist the production garden with growing fruit and vegetable produce.
- Assist in the installation and upkeep of various types of fences and other hard landscaping tasks around the site.
Qualifications
- Up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high‑profile venue or similar high‑end environment.
- Horticultural qualification level 3 or above is advantageous but not a necessity.
- Knowledge of horticulture, landscaping principles, arboriculture, and sustainable practices.
- Experience with all types of horticultural machinery.
- Accreditation or certificates in chainsaw use (desirable).
- Understanding of current health and safety legislation.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
