The Infrastructure Engineering Manager will be responsible for the management of a team of Infrastructure Engineers (network, server and cloud combined) and management of supplier relationships alongside the Group Head of Infrastructure. The global Infrastructure team at Soho House is responsible for designing, building, deploying and maintaining the network and security Infrastructure for Soho House and its associated fascia’s (Soho Restaurants, Soho Works, Retail, The Ned, Scorpios, The Line, The Saguaro and Soho House) reporting directly to the Group Head of Infrastructure and Cyber Security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure progress of all Infrastructure projects are clearly documented and communicated to stakeholders.
- Review, approve and cross charge invoices for Infrastructure contractors, agencies and suppliers (Hardware, software/licensing and professional services).
- Make technical decisions and resolve technical blockers for various projects and issues with Infrastructure engineers, contractors and agencies.
- Be technically knowledgeable across various parts of Infrastructure (network, server, cloud, security).
- Get involved with and assist in putting together network bill of materials and scoping of new house openings and refurbishments projects.
- Configuration and maintenance of Infrastructure (network, server, cloud, security).
- Carry out projects including implementing of new network, server, cloud and security tools/functionality globally without disrupting business operations.
- Remediate vulnerabilities for all internal and external facing networks.
- Facilitate remediation of internal and external vulnerabilities with third parties where applicable.
- Ensure new and existing Infrastructure is documented.
- Ensure handover of new Infrastructure to in-house team and third-party managed service providers.
- Ensure third-party managed service providers and internal Infrastructure resources are managing Infrastructure support according to their responsibilities and SLAs.
- Research, test, procure and implement new technologies and products to meet business requirements and improve way of working.
- Ensure administration work including change requests, updating and managing Infrastructure/security support tickets are carried out.
- Carry out due diligence on third party works carried out to ensure all Infrastructure and security requirements are met (Resilience, best practices and security).
- Co-ordinate quarterly on-site visits to review Infrastructure.
Required Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience working with Networking, Server and Cloud.
- Vendor skills/experience required: SSE: Netskope - Secure Web Gateway/Zero Trust Network Access/Cloud Firewall; NGFW: Palo Alto Networks – Firewalls/Panorama; SD-WAN: Aruba EdgeConnect (Formally Silver Peak); Switching/Routing: HPE/Aruba AOS-CX, HPE/Aruba AOS-S, Cisco; Wireless: Aruba AOS-8, Aruba AOS-10/Ruckus; NAC: Aruba ClearPass; Microsoft Windows Server 2012-2025 OS, Applications, Features and Roles; SQL, IIS, Active Directory (All Components), PowerShell; Azure, Office365, Entra ID; VMWare ESXI; RHEL; KVM; Mobile Device Management; EndPoint Management; Anti-Virus.
Required Experience:
- Strong leadership skills, with experience training and developing a team.
- Good stakeholder management.
- Great/Quick troubleshooting thought process.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Security design principle conscious.
- Experience working with large scale (80+ site) MPLS/VPLS/SD-WAN Networks.
- Experience working in large scale, complex routing protocol configuration network environments.
- Experience working with Data Centres (covering multiple regions).
- Experience working with Cloud Environments (covering multiple regions).
- Experience working with SSO/SCIM/OATH/SAML (Okta, ADFS and Azure AD).
- Experience working in an environment where a change control process needs to be followed.
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to look at current environments and recommend better ways of working.
- Flexible schedule.
- Ability to travel internationally.
