Primary Responsibilities
- Run and review trading reports to identify best and worst sellers and make commercial recommendations to drive sales.
- Forecast sales demand and track sales performance against targets, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Undertake regular store visits to assess trade and provide feedback insight to the wider team.
- Analyze sales data, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations to optimize range performance.
Supply & Supplier Management
- Build and maintain supplier production forecasts at fabric and product level with the objective of reducing supplier lead times.
- Monitor fabric availability and levels across the supply base to ensure optimal production lead times and minimize fabric liability.
- Develop strong supplier relationships through regular meetings and proactive communication.
Range Building and Lifecycle Management
- Build and own range building documents, option counts and sales and stock plans.
- Contribute to range planning by ensuring the product range is commercially balanced, free from gaps or duplication, and aligned to brand strategy.
- Work closely with the Buying and Product Development teams to ensure future product ranges are commercially strong and reflect market trends.
- Discontinuation and life cycle management.
Collaboration & Supplier Relations
- Build and maintain supplier production forecasts with the aim of reducing lead times.
Team & People
- Deputise for Senior Merchandiser.
- Supervise junior team members.
- Reporting into the Senior Merchandiser, support the delivery of sales, stock, intake and profitability targets across all channels.
Qualifications & Experience
- Currently at Junior Merchandising level or experienced Assistant Merchandiser level (AM).
- Multi-channel experience (retail, online and wholesale) is desirable.
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Commercially minded with an ability to identify trends and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Problem‑solving ability: able to identify and resolve issues related to stock, sales, or other merchandising challenges.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
