The Role…

At Soho House, a Room Service Operator is responsible for ensuring the consistency, quality and efficiency of all food and beverage service plus amenities for the guest and rooms.

This is a hands-on, member-facing role requiring attention to detail, excellent customer service, and strong organisational skills.

Key Duties...

  • Take and process all room service orders promptly and accurately, ensuring clear communication with kitchen and service teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of all food, drink, and amenity offerings to confidently guide guest choices and upsell where appropriate.
  • Coordinate delivery times with floor teams to ensure timely service and exceptional presentation.
  • Follow up on guest requests and feedback to ensure satisfaction and resolution of any issues.
  • Ensure all telephone and digital communications are handled in a warm, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Keep the room service area, phone system, and service records organised and up to date.
  • Work closely with the kitchen, reception, housekeeping, and concierge teams to ensure smooth communication across departments.
  • Support the wider F&B team when required and uphold Soho House standards at all times.

What we are looking for...

  • Up to 1-2 years’ experience in a busy hospitality venue, ideally from a room service background
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships (internal and external)
  • Strong attention to details
  • Excellent customer service
  • Fluent in English
  • Organised and reliable
  • Ability to work and maximize relationships within a diverse team
  • Computer literacy within Opera, Micros and Open Table are advantageous

Physical Requirements

  • Must be over the age of 18
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects by hand
  • Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required
