At Soho House, the Night Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of all members and employees during the overnight shift, as well as handling member enquiries. The Night Manager oversees all front office operations during the evening and overnight shift and acts as an ambassador for the Soho House brand, embracing our ethos, supporting staff, and enhancing member and guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Be an ambassador for the hotel and represent the Soho House ethos at all times by ensuring it is executed and maintained.
  • Anticipate guest needs to enhance quality of service and train your department to deliver the same.
  • Maintain a motivated, high-performing team so all staff can continually provide service excellence to all guests and members.
  • Ensure that every guest experience remains a priority in line with the Soho House ethos — 90%+ on mystery guest reports and 9+/10 on post-stay member feedback.
  • Be an expert in complaint management, proactively handling difficult member/guest situations and resolving them efficiently.
  • Ensure daily deadlines for responsibilities such as reports, SHOP submission and the financial declaration are met.
  • Induct and onboard all new night staff within 2 weeks and ensure continual development of existing staff.
  • Manage the team effectively to meet objectives and retain staff in line with company targets.
  • Follow the Soho House safety procedures and carry out emergency procedures as required.
  • Assist the House Manager & General Manager by ensuring financial policies and procedures are followed (target: 92%).

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain composure with quick and effective problem solving under pressure
  • Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
  • Ability to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
  • Ability to work and build relationships within a diverse team
  • Computer literacy within Opera, Micros and Adaco is advantageous
  • Full understanding of local authority requirements
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
