The Role… At Soho House, a Host plays an essential role in welcoming and greeting members and guests, managing the table booking systems and supporting with the floor team to seat current bookings and prepare tables for the next booking. Your main responsibility is to ensure that members have an enjoyable experience. You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting and seating members and supporting with the floor team where needed.

Key duties…
- Welcome every member by name and guest with open arms and in a hospitable manner.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Manage the Opera/OpenTable booking system to ensure members are seated according to their correct booking.
- In real-time ensure that any member related concerns are addressed and action items have been set, and management team have been notified.
- Build relationships with members and guests. Communicate red flags and positive feedback to management and wider team.
- Support floor team to prepare tables by setting up linens, cutlery and glasses.
- Have an outstanding knowledge of our menus to provide detailed information on the food, drink, allergies and pairings.
- Resolve member complaints, handling all member interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
- Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.
- Contribute to team success, attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues where needed.
What we are looking for...
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in similar capacity
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure
- Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
- Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
The salary range for this role if filled within the UK is listed below. The range for the position in different geographies may vary based on market differences. Pay Range £15.50 - £15.50 GBP
