At Soho House, the Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the full operation of the Club’s dining spaces, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for members and their guests. This role is key to maintaining the highest standards of service, staff performance, and operational efficiency in a refined and fast‑paced hospitality environment. You will lead by example on the floor, motivating your team to deliver polished, personable service while managing the day‑to‑day running of the restaurant. You will work closely with the Head Chef, Events, and Membership teams to create memorable dining experiences that reflect the values and culture of the Club.
Responsibilities
- Drive exceptional service standards by developing and refining systems that enhance the experience for members, guests, and staff.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure every guest interaction is seamless, aligned with brand expectations, and delivered with consistency.
- Support recruitment efforts by identifying talent needs, participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates alongside People & Development.
- Oversee onboarding and development of new team members, ensuring the floor team is confident, polished, and guest‑focused.
- Train and coach staff on Soho House core values, roles, and service standards to build a high‑performing and knowledgeable team.
- Create efficient staff rotas, manage labour costs, and reduce unnecessary overtime to maintain operational excellence.
- Uphold and enforce standards of appearance, compliance, safety, and professionalism across the team.
- Oversee and drive an inclusive environment that ensures every member and team member both feels and embodies the Soho House Values.
- Have a strong understanding of product from food and drink to accommodation.
- Implement, oversee, and understand the commercial viability of your business.
- Provide effective hands‑on day‑to‑day management and problem‑solving both front and back of house operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Thrives in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments and can remain calm while quickly and effectively problem‑solving under pressure.
- Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
- Demonstrated competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Able to take direction, work in a team environment and independently.
