At Soho House, a Runner plays a vital supporting role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of service between the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams. As a key link in the dining experience, the Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverages promptly, maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the service areas.

Responsibilities

  • Bring food/drink quickly from the kitchen/bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members
  • Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment
  • Provide service to and be accountable for an assigned section
  • Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service
  • Polish cutlery ensuring they are ready for service
  • Prepare any additions to tables in advance (preparing lemon wraps, condiments, butter portions etc)
  • Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations
  • Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly
  • Attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings

What we are looking for...

  • 2–3 years in a similar high‑end dining environment
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge, including wine service
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a hands‑on approach
  • Confident, polished, and professional demeanour
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software
