The Role… At Soho House, a Health Club Host is the face of the fitness area, providing a warm welcome, excellent service, and continuous support to ensure members and guests enjoy a clean, safe, and motivating workout environment. Your main responsibility is a blend of hospitality and operational support — helping members feel at ease, offering guidance on equipment, and ensuring the gym floor is immaculately maintained.

Key duties…

  • Welcome every member by name and guest with open arms and in a hospitable manner.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Provide basic guidance on equipment usage and club rules when needed (not personal training unless qualified).
  • In real-time ensure that any member related concerns are addressed and action items have been set, and management team have been notified.
  • Build relationships with members and guests. Communicate red flags and positive feedback to management and wider team.
  • Ensure the gym floor is clean, orderly, and safe at all times — including wiping down machines, restocking towels, and managing equipment placement.
  • Support fitness instructors and personal trainers with class setups or member handovers.
  • Encourage a positive, inclusive, and respectful workout atmosphere.
  • Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.
  • Assist with booking appointments, classes, or providing information about fitness services and facilities.

What we are looking for...

A successful Health Club Host for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure.
  • Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously.
