At Soho House, the Assistant General Manager supports all aspects of the business in conjunction with the General Manager. The AGM oversees service standards, operational efficiency, member and guest experience, and staff retention. They manage day‑to‑day team operations, act as an ambassador for the Soho House brand, and fully embrace our ethos while supporting staff and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and drive an inclusive environment that embodies the Soho House Pillars and Values
  • Collaborate with all support office functions to implement innovative opportunities that efficiently drive sales and staff/member retention across HR, Recruitment, Learning & Development, F&B/Operations, Marketing, PR, MR, Events & Programming, Finance, Housekeeping and Facilities
  • Act as an influential leader and decision maker, supporting, guiding, developing and implementing policies, procedures and systems to improve business operations, service, retention and overall experience
  • Implement, oversee and assess the commercial viability of the business
  • Provide hands‑on day‑to‑day management and problem solving for front and back of house operations
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with the General Manager to assess and develop operational goals based on weekly, daily and quarterly performance reviews
  • Execute action plans on time and within budget to support business improvements, optimise profit and minimise margins while promoting exceptional experiences for members, guests and staff
  • Adhere to Soho House & Co company policies for food safety, allergy procedures and creating a safe and inviting space, partnering with Health & Safety leaders and following local, government and regional compliance and legal standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments and manage calm, effective problem‑solving under pressure
  • Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
  • Demonstrated competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and act autonomously
