The Role… At Soho House, as a Teeny House Supervisor shares responsibility for the day-to-day running of Teeny Barn & Teeny Pool. The Supervisor will have full responsibility of the team in the absence of the Manager and Assistant Manager ensuring that the operations run smoothly. The Supervisor is also an ambassador for the Soho House brand and fully embraces our ethos, supports staff, member, and guest experience. This position requires a caring, responsible, and proactive approach to childcare, along with strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.

Key duties…

  • Welcome and engage members, guests and children in a warm, professional and friendly manner
  • Create a safe, happy and stimulating environment for all children
  • Deliver engaging activities to keep children entertained and supported throughout their time in the setting
  • Meet all children’s personal care needs, including nappy changing and toileting
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the Teeny Barn at all times
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety and safeguarding standards, escalating any concerns appropriately
  • Support the day-to-day running of the setting, taking responsibility in the absence of the Manager/Assistant Manager
  • Lead and support the team, ensuring company policies and procedures are consistently followed
  • Confidently use systems and complete administrative tasks, including payroll and ordering supplies
  • Communicate professionally at all times, maintaining confidentiality and supporting with team-related matters

What we are looking for...

  • A successful Teeny House Supervisor for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service.
  • You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
  • A Level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent is preferred although not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships (internal and external)
  • Experience of working with children age 0-16yrs
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and basic first aid.
  • Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to handle feedback to achieve member satisfaction
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
