Overview

Shoreditch House, located in East London’s historic Tea Building, is an established fixture on the area’s creative scene. The role is based at Shoreditch House (E1 6AW) and involves working across the reception desk, basic admin duties, and hosting in the restaurant and rooftop where needed, while also handling guestlist responsibilities. You will be knowledgeable about the property and the neighbourhood and help foster a “home away from home” feeling for members.

What we are looking for

• 1-2 years’ experience in a busy commercial reception desk
• Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
• Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
• Sense of urgency
• Yes, yes, yes mentality
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Have a genuine passion for food and beverage

Responsibilities

• Wear multiple hats: manage reception desk and basic admin duties
• Host in the restaurant and rooftop where needed
• Manage guestlists and welcome members, creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Be knowledgeable on all aspects of the property and neighbourhood
• Foster a friendly, professional environment for members entering the building

Hours

Shoreditch House opening hours: Sun – Tues 7:30am–12am; Wed 7:30am–1am; Thurs – Sat 7:30am–3am. Subject to change.

Shoreditch House is in East London’s Tea Building, with a gym and rooftop pool, a 26-bedroom house, a Cowshed Spa and multiple dining concepts including the Members’ restaurant and rooftop restaurants.
