At Soho House, a Chef de Partie supports the kitchen brigade in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. Your role is to ensure every member enjoys an amazing dining experience. You will prepare food before service, set up and stock kitchen stations, and plate dishes to company standards while maintaining the highest quality.
Key Duties
- Plating food according to company guidelines to ensure high standards.
- Ensuring mise‑en‑place is completed before service.
- Maintaining a professional attitude at all times.
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are met.
- Attending regular meetings with front‑ and back‑of‑house teams to discuss menu changes, specials and daily tastings.
- Supporting junior team members (e.g., Commis Chefs) through guidance and collaboration.
- Assisting in preparation of team meals as requested, considering dietary needs and variety.
- Demonstrating a proactive attitude towards learning, improvement and teamwork.
- Supporting deep cleaning of the entire kitchen before closing.
- Wrapping unused items and storing them in the proper area at the end of service.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Passion for food, attention to detail and a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive, proactive and respectful attitude in a busy kitchen environment.
- Culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 1 or 2) is a plus but not essential.
- Ability to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to take direction, work well in a team environment and work autonomously.
