Brighton Beach House…
Set on the seafront with views of the pier, Brighton Beach House spans two floors and features Art Deco inspired interiors, a rooftop terrace and a banana shaped pool specially design by artist David Shrigley. The club menu has been specially created for Brighton, with a focus on seafood while the dining room serves Mediterranean inspired dishes. The club also features fitness facilities including free weights, cardio areas, a sauna and steam room.
The Role…
We are seeking an experienced Head Bartender to join our team at Brighton Beach House (BN2 1AY). As a Head Bartender with Soho House, your role is to make sure that our members have an amazing experience every time. Possessing natural hospitality charm, we will give you a platform to connect, grow, have fun and make an impact. Your main responsibilities are serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food (when needed) and providing excellent service to members, creating memorable experiences. Other duties include mixing cocktails, preparing the bar for service and ensuring it is in pristine condition.
What we are looking for…
- 1-2 years\’ experience in a busy high-profile bar.
- Experience and knowledge of classic cocktails.
- Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- Sense of urgency
- Yes, yes, yes mentality
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Have a genuine passion for food and beverage
- Flexible and available to working both opening and closing shifts when required
* If you don\’t have previous cocktail experience but want to learn how to be a Head Bartender in the future, try applying to a \’Barback\’ or \’Bartender\’ position instead!
Physical Requirements:
- Must be over the age of 18
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects by hand
- Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required
Expected working hours for a Head Bartender:
- Varying shift times across the seven days, to include working evenings, weekends, opens & closes
- Average hours 32-45 hours per week
