At Soho House, the Gym Supervisor will support the daily operations of the gym and fitness facilities, ensuring that all areas are safe, clean, and operating to the highest standards. You will act as a role model for the fitness team, assist in the delivery of a first‑class member experience, and help drive engagement through excellent service and well‑maintained facilities. In this role, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the gym floor, supporting staff, and ensuring members enjoy a positive and inspiring environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily activities within the gym, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all members and guests.
  • Support and motivate the fitness team, including personal trainers and instructors, ensuring they deliver excellent service.
  • Monitor the condition of gym equipment, reporting faults promptly and ensuring that repairs and maintenance are followed up.
  • Lead by example on the gym floor by interacting with members, offering guidance on equipment use, and supporting a positive atmosphere.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, including daily checks, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
  • Assist in the induction of new members, demonstrating equipment and advising on safe exercise techniques.
  • Help organise and support fitness events, classes, and challenges to drive member engagement.
  • Ensure gym policies and etiquette standards are upheld, addressing any breaches with professionalism.
  • Assist with rotas and cover shifts as required.

What we are looking for...

  • Previous experience in a fitness or gym supervisory role, or significant experience as a senior fitness instructor or personal trainer.
  • Strong knowledge of gym equipment and fitness floor operations.
  • Good understanding of health & safety, with First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with a positive and approachable manner.
  • Level 3 Personal Trainer required.
  • Organised, reliable, and confident in handling member feedback or concerns.
