We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our team at Soho Farmhouse (OX7 4JS). As a Supervisor of our onsite Bakery and Brunch Café, you’ll play a key leadership role in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining exceptional service standards, and supporting a passionate front of house team. You’ll work closely with the HOD to drive a positive work culture, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and keep things running efficiently. This is a fast paced role where you’ll be hands-on across all areas of our busy café, located in the heart of the main farmyard. No late nights or night shifts
Main duties
- Lead and support a team of up to 10 front‑of‑house staff during busy service periods
- Maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and well cared for
- Assist the HOD with training, onboarding, and motivating team members to perform at their best
- Assist with scheduling, shift planning, and ensuring adequate staffing levels
- Oversee retail displays and manage stock rotation, merchandising, and reordering
- Monitor FOH ordering and stock levels for dry goods, packaging, and other essentials
- Be a key point of contact on the floor, handling customer feedback or concerns with professionalism and care
- Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant FOH environment
What We Are Looking For
- 1-2 years’ barista experience desired but not essential as all training can be delivered
- Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- Sense of urgency
- Yes, yes, yes mentality
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Have a genuine passion for food and beverage
- Flexible and available to working both opening and closing shifts when required
Expected Working Hours
- Varying shift times across the seven days, to include working weekends, opens & closes
- Average hours 40 hours per week
