About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bartender to join our team at Soho House Manchester. Your main responsibilities are serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food (when needed) and providing excellent service to members, creating memorable experiences. Other duties include mixing cocktails, preparing the bar for service and ensuring it is in pristine condition.
Responsibilities
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages promptly and accurately.
- Mix cocktails to a high standard.
- Prepare the bar for service and maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Team work and communication with colleagues.
- Ensure a memorable experience for members.
- Assist with food service as required.
- Adhere to operational policies and health & safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile bar (preferred but not essential).
- Team player who communicates well with all colleagues.
- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
- Sense of urgency and positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Genuine passion for food and beverage.
- Flexible and available to work opening and closing shifts as required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be over the age of 18.
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects by hand.
- Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required.
Expected Working Hours
- Varying shift times over the seven days, including evenings, weekends, opens & closes.
- Average of 40 hours per week.
