We\'re looking for an experienced, energetic and talented Head Chef and Kitchen Manager with a passion for food and the ability to manage a professional working environment in our most Premium and modern Mediterranean Restaurant and Wine Bar \'Olive\' in Brixham. This is a hands on role working with your team and reporting directly to the Venue Manager and Company Directors.

We\'re looking for a hard working career based professional with hands on experience in the industry whom have a clear knowledge of the position and their profession and a modern twist on presenting up to date dishes, full of flavour and utilising your own creativity with the concept of small international plates at Olive. If you\'re looking for the next step in your career, taking you towards the next level in you profession, this may be a great opportunity or it would of course suit someone already holding a similar role with a strong passion for food and ability which enables you to have full creativity over the kitchen and your team. You will be running our most premium based kitchen in our company group, with a strong team with different varied skills. This is an exciting and dynamic role for the right individual whom wants variety in their position in a restaurant of around 40 covers with some Street Food offered in our adjacent bar - working in an open kitchen.

In addition to the above standard requirements you will need to be able to organise and direct the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring that the company\'s reputation for quality is enhanced with customers at all times.

Be able to take responsibility for the food production with a hands-on approach. Be responsible for all aspects of food safety, HS and COSHH.

To hold our most Senior kitchen position in this venue, you will also be required to implement and maintain food monitoring procedures to facilitate budgetary control and to monitor all costs involved in the kitchen against agreed budgets and or menu design.

You must be proactive and Innovative - culinary and presentation skills are a must. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills to engage and be able to manage staff in a calm, inspirational manner are a must A forward-thinker who can prevent wastage and whom Demonstrates a passion for food.

Excellent organisation skills. Salary based on experience, knowledge and ability. This will be discussed at interview stage.
