Provide community support to people with profound learning disabilities and complex needs (including people
with complex Physical/health needs and/or people with low/medium level of needs that challenge mainstream services.
The support and inclusion team is part of a specialist community support service based at the Sutton Inclusion Centre
The service aims to support people to become part of their local community and will make best use of local resources and networks to minimise peoples' dependence on specialist services and maximise their independence.
Representative accountabilities
Deliver core tasks under the direction of a more senior member of staff to ensure services run efficiently and effectively.
Deal with routine issues/problems to ensure customer issues are resolved effectively, escalating when necessary.
Operate complex machinery or tools in order to deliver tasks to the agreed standard.
Identify faults with tools/equipment and carry out basic maintenance or refer for repair where necessary.
Allocate straightforward tasks to more junior members of staff.
Record income, expenditure and other financial transactions in order to ensure the Council s financial resources are used appropriately.
