In this role you will be one member of a small team, working collaboratively with key teams to make sure that resident-facing communications land exactly how and when residents need them to. In this role it is key to work flexibly across the organisation as one team.
You will be responsible for engaging staff in other teams, residents and other stakeholders through various channels including press, print, website, social media, surveys and newsletters.
- Resident communications
- Plan, create and implement cross-platform campaigns in collaboration with internal teams (such as Communities, Neighbourhoods, Resident Involvement) including
- Create social media content across platforms which effectively targets different stakeholders
- Use a social media Soha persona (such as ‘Soha communities’ or similar) to promote events within community groups
- Liaise with leaders and partners in the community to maintain up-to-date community information on our website, in particular to support residents who continue to be affected by the cost-of living crisis
- Design promotional and marketing campaign materials (such as fliers or posters) using InDesign and Canva
- Gathering and telling the stories of impact on residents (e.g. creating and promoting case studies with internal teams, or promoting outcomes of Soha Improves) for resident and Board assurance o Understand where our stakeholders are online and how they use the platforms, including
- Reply to comments online to signpost in the direction of our services
- Find and react to relevant stakeholder engagement on all public facing platforms, and feed this back to the relevant teams
- Where needed, host online or in-person resident and community events, or take photo and/or video (occasionally outside of working hours)
- Creating and distributing large scale e-communications, including
- Writing and designing bi-monthly tenant e-newsletters
- Working with internal teams to produce bi-annual newsletters specific to tenure (i.e. Independent Living)
- Designing and maintaining content on screens in our retirement living communities
- Design resident surveys for internal teams using SurveyMonkey
- Corporate business support
- Monitor and triage Communications and Press inboxes daily
- Add tasks to Communications job board and keep it up to date
- Procure items including branded goods and items representing Soha in the community (e.g. branded displays, signage and conference collateral)
- Maintain the photo library (by event, topic and location and including staff photos on behalf of Office Services)
- Manage corporate subscriptions
- Coordinate and produce mailing lists for print publications, in line with resident preferences and GDPR considerations.
This role needs:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including brand, tone and language awareness
Ability to write clear and accessible copy for different audiences
An open, collaborative approach to work, based on trust, co-operation and a proactive and flexible attitude
Good organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple commitments and prioritise work effectively, using your own initiative
The initiative to be curious about new channels and platforms which could be deployed; the ability to be creative and imaginative with those tools already in use with an understanding of reaching and engaging with different target audiences
Driving licence.
It would an advantage if you had:
Camera or film experience
Previous experience working within the housing sector
Experience with Survey Monkey, Dotdigital, Wordpress and Horizon products such as customer management and correspondence recording systems
Working knowledge or understanding of digital accessibility (WCAG)
Basic Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva skills
Experience of working in a customer focused service, dealing with both internal and external audiences
Capacity to proactively build relationships with relevant stakeholders
