The predicted salary is between 40500 - 49500 £ per year.
You will be reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner and working within the Finance & Resources Directorate. Your main responsibilities will be to work closely with the Management Accountant to deliver the following:
- Work with the Finance team to produce regular, accurate management accounting and performance information reports and ensure timely distribution.
- Maintenance of all the asset and liabilities registers within Soha, including the housing property asset register with full reconciliation to the balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure that controls are working effectively and carry out appropriate reconciliations on a timely basis.
- Assist the Senior Finance Business Partner with management of Soha’s treasury function.
- Maintenance of all company loans, ensuring interest and capital repayments are made in accordance with the loan agreements.
KEY DUTIES
- Account fully for all property additions, sales and component replacements including depreciation - ensuring full compliance with financial reporting standards and Soha’s asset management policies.
- Maintenance and reconciliation of all company loans, ensuring interest and capital repayments are made in accordance with terms of loan agreements.
- To produce monthly budget reports and other ad-hoc reports, ensuring budgetary controls are maintained.
- Liaising with colleagues to ensure that performance management information continues to be useful in decision making and implementing any changes.
- Assist with the treasury management function, processing of special payments and updating daily cash flow and bank reconciliations.
- To assist with the securitisation process for charging properties to funders.
- Liaise with budget holders and managers to investigate and resolve queries.
- To assist in the preparation and submission of accounting and other returns to regulatory bodies.
- To work with the team in facilitating effective internal audit and consultancy reviews as required.
- Any other duties as required.
What you will need
- A recognised professional part-qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or ability to show you are qualified by experience.
- Previous experience in a finance department and a thorough understanding of general accounting systems.
- Excellent numeracy, financial and IT skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
It would also be nice to have
- Experience within the social housing sector.
- Up to date skills in using technology, systems and relevant software at advanced level.
- Experience of using a housing management system.
