Performance & OAT Test Lead

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: Identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)<br /> </p> <p><strong>Your role</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The candidate must be eligible for UK SC clearance due to the project's sensitive nature and access requirements.</li> <li>Significant experience as a Performance Test Manager, ideally within large-scale infrastructure projects. The candidate should be able to oversee testing processes in complex systems and should have knowledge of both performance testing and Operational Acceptance Testing.</li> <li>Expertise in defining Performance Test Approaches and preparing Test Plans and Click-path documentation.</li> <li>Familiarity with performance testing tools, preferably Login VSI.</li> <li>Ability to manage and oversee performance testing activities conducted by suppliers, ensuring they adhere to test strategy and timelines.</li> <li>Some experience in Operational Acceptance Testing for applications, including, backup & recovery, audit & logging, and system resilience.</li> <li>Proven capability in working with technical SMEs to create Test Plans, schedules, and scripts tailored for live environment readiness.</li> <li>Track record in managing fixed-price projects and leading cross-functional, multi-vendor teams.</li> <li>Proficiency in planning, tracking, and reporting testing progress and outcomes within Jira.</li> <li>Strong understanding of ITIL best practices to ensure the integration and operational stability of SCADA systems within the IT environment.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>You can bring your whole self to work. We have built an inclusive and welcoming environment, for everyone.</p> <p><strong>Your skills and experience</strong></p> <p><strong>Mandatory Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of SCADA systems and Mulesoft integration framework.</li> <li>Performance testing, especially within critical infrastructure settings, including troubleshooting and defining metrics for system stability and recovery.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and suppliers, aligning objectives, escalating issues as needed, and communicating testing progress clearly.</li> <li>Proficiency in Jira for test documentation, tracking, and reporting.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting testing challenges, making informed decisions, and providing oversight of vendor testing activities aligned with the test strategy.</li> <li>Define and document the Performance Test Approach, including detailed Test Plans and Click-path documents.</li> <li>Conduct end-to-end performance testing and prepare detailed reports on testing outcomes.</li> <li>Establish OAT objectives focused on system stability, such as process walkthroughs, backup and recovery, and resilience testing.</li> <li>Collaborate with technical SMEs to develop and execute OAT Test Plans for the application stack in the target live environment.</li> <li>Manage OAT execution, monitor results, and address issues promptly.</li> <li>Prepare regular progress reports, summarizing key activities, issues, and testing outcomes for stakeholders.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills to effectively operate within a complex, multi-vendor environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Your security clearance</strong></p> <p>To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. <br />To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.<br />Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.<br />Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.</p> <p><strong>What does 'Get The Future You Want' mean for you?</strong></p> <p>You will be empowered to explore, innovate, and progress.
