With a hands-on culture and close proximity to its clients, Sogeti is currently looking for an SAP Lead Automation Test Engineer to join our Quality Engineering and Test Practice, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving impactful value creation for our clients.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role

  • Good experience in SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA testing, with understanding of HR, procurement, or related SAP business processes.
  • Design and implement effective automation test strategies and plans for SAP applications and integrations.
  • Good knowledge of automation testing with relevant tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, Worksoft Certify, UFT, TestComplete, or similar automation platforms.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining automation frameworks for SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA using suitable automation tools and frameworks.
  • Manage a team of automation engineers, foster collaborative work environment, and enhance team performance.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other team members to integrate automation assets into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Manage versions of test automation assets in code repositories like GIT.
  • Ensure proper defect management processes and adherence to test life cycles for automated testing.
  • Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM/Quality Center, qTest, or similar, ensuring testing remains on track against the project plan.
  • Lead the Automation Testing and produce necessary documentation and reports for various testing phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), through automation reporting into the Test Manager.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, providing guidance and expertise in SAP test automation.
  • The candidate must be eligible for Security Clearance (SC) for this project. This requires a minimum of five consecutive years of residency in the UK, with no single period of absence from the country exceeding 28 days during that time.

Your skills and experience

  • Good experience of leading SAP E2E Automation testing (internal to SAP and externally to non-SAP Systems).
  • Good knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA modules, including Employee Central, Recruitment, Onboarding, Finance, Procurement, Materials Management, or Supply Chain.
  • Expertise in automation testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, Worksoft Certify, UFT, TestComplete, or similar.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation assets with tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM/Quality Center, qTest, or similar, with the ability to produce clear reports for stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a problem-solving environment, with attention to detail and experience in mentoring team members.
  • Knowledge of test life cycles, defect management processes, risk/issue identification and Test reports/metrics.
  • ISTQB/ISEB certification in software testing (Foundation level or above) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Flexibility to travel and work at various locations during the project.

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
