We are looking for experienced Delivery Principals to lead a portfolio of projects and engagements, ideally with experience delivering within the Financial Services and Insurance or Energy & Utilities sectors from within a consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high value services to our clients
  • responsible for project success, managing delivery teams, ensuring client satisfaction and commercial objectives, providing escalation and steering for stakeholder issues.
  • Accelerate the careers of others
  • people management, mentoring Delivery Leads and junior staff, setting performance contracts, supporting career development and knowledge sharing.
  • Generate additional business
  • engage with existing and prospective clients, build and expand accounts, lead bids, develop proposals and pitches, promote Softwire through industry networks.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering challenging projects or programmes.
  • Experience in a delivery leadership role within an agency or consultancy environment.
  • Managing teams of 10+ staff with accountability for outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of modern software engineering practices (SDLC) and awareness of technical trends.
  • Interest and understanding of technology and software delivery processes.
  • Extensive experience delivering large projects in the Financial Services, Insurance or Energy & Utilities sectors.
  • Excellent client management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead senior stakeholder meetings, present clear narratives, and drive decisions.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology, commercial models (T&M, FP, etc.) and SDLC tools.
  • The Package
  • Base salary £92,100–£103,700, based on experience.
  • Profit share – average £15,000–£20,000, tied to role and company performance.
  • Pension: additional 5 % of salary.
