Overview Softwerx is a security services provider offering outsourced security event monitoring and incident response to a range of clients using a Microsoft centric technology stack. We are hiring multiple SOC analysts to join a rapidly expanding team that supports internal and external customers. This role is suitable for someone with a background in support, deployment or security operations who wants to develop skills in a Microsoft focused security context. As a Microsoft Gold partner, we invest in training and support for accreditations from Microsoft Security Operations Analyst through to Microsoft Certified Security Administrator Associate.
Location Babraham, England, United Kingdom. Flexible work from home policy. The candidate must live and hold a relevant Right to work in the UK for this role.
Responsibilities Receipt and categorisation of initial events, incidents and requests from customers.
Provide initial triage and trigger escalation/assignment as appropriate.
Investigate event alerts and liaise with the customer to confirm closure.
Participate in a 24/7 rota in an 8 hour shift pattern.
Essential Experience Understanding of information security principles.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Technical understanding of IT infrastructure (any of the following): Microsoft 365 suite, Azure Active Directory, Azure portal.
Ability to install security software and applications.
Preferred Experience Previous experience in a SOC or security team.
Experience with a SIEM toolset (e.g., Azure Sentinel).
Experience with EDR tools.
Microsoft certifications.

33 holiday shifts per annum.

Rota & Working Hours 3x 8 hour shifts on a 6 week cycle (7 days on 4 days off and 7 days on 3 days off twice).
