The Procurement Administratorposition requires you to engage with internal and external teams to enable the procurement and delivery of services and products provided by Softwerx. The role includes the ownership of ensuring that subscription services are appropriately managed and renewed in a timely manner. The role reports to the Technical Procurement Manager.
Location
Home-based with occasional travel to the Cambridge Office and Industry/Partner events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Department Procedures
- Respond to client and internal requests for pricing and product information.
- Raise purchase orders for customers and internal teams according to their needs and requests.
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.
- Support the provisioning, billing and general administration of Microsoft Licensing programmes.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Determine the most appropriate solution for given requirements.
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices.
- Support the development and update of departmental processes.
- Collaborate with the Group Finance department and other external teams.
2. Team working
- Liaise regularly with your line manager and team members.
- Helping/providing cover for other team members as required.
- Attending team and other staff meetings.
- Supporting new team members and provide on-the-job training.
- Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager.
- Engage with and support other teams.
3. Communication and Liaison
- Keep up to date with all written and verbal communications (i.e., emails/messages/calls).
- Ensure all records are maintained and kept up to date according to company policies and procedures.
4. Training and development
- Monitor your own work levels, progress and development.
- Undertake all core training and development programmes as required.
- Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan.
