If you thrive on prospecting, building pipeline, and closing new logos - and want the backing of a dedicated BDR team and a high‑demand security offering - this is your opportunity.

Why Softwerx? We’re a Microsoft Security specialist operating in one of the fastest‑growing markets in tech.

In this role, you will:

  • Sell high‑demand cybersecurity services organisations urgently need
  • Be supported by a team of BDRs generating pipeline and meetings
  • Focus on closing new business, not account farming
  • Join a business with strong momentum, clear positioning, and growth ambition

Location: Hybrid, with travel to Cambridge Head Office at CB22 3GN for customer meetings and industry and Microsoft partner events.

Your Role – Built for Hunters

This is a pure net‑new business role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own a new logo acquisition target and consistently deliver against it
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to execute on strategy
  • Work closely with a BDR team to convert outbound activity into qualified opportunities
  • Drive your own pipeline creation alongside BDR‑generated opportunities
  • Lead the full sales cycle – from first conversation through to close
  • Target mid‑market organisations across defined sectors
  • Build strong, value‑led propositions around Microsoft security and managed services
Essential Experience
  • 3+ years success in new business / hunter sales roles
  • Proven ability to win net‑new logos consistently
  • Strong track record of pipeline generation and deal closure
  • Highly proactive comfortable driving activity alongside BDR support
  • Resilient, persistent, and motivated by targets and commission
  • Experience owning the full sales cycle
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in cybersecurity, MSP, or SaaS sales
  • Exposure to Microsoft Security, cloud, or managed services
  • Experience working with BDRs or SDRs in a structured sales environment
  • Understanding of Security‑as‑a‑Service (SECaaS)
Package

We reward top performers and support career growth:

  • £40,000 – £50,000 base salary (DOE)
  • Uncapped commission (OTE £90,000+) – built for high performers
  • BDR support to help drive qualified opportunities
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Westfield Health plan
  • Life cover (2x salary)
  • 4% pension contribution
  • Clear progression path within a fast‑growing Microsoft security practice
  • Ongoing training aligned to Microsoft and cybersecurity
Who This Role Is Perfect For

You are:

  • A new business sales professional (hunter), not an account manager
  • Currently in IT services / cybersecurity / SaaS sales and want a stronger market
  • Frustrated by lack of pipeline support or weak propositions
  • Motivated by uncapped earnings and winning new customers
  • Looking to specialise in Microsoft Security and managed services
Why Join Now?

This is a chance to:

  • Be part of a scaling security business at the right time
  • Sell into a market with urgent demand and real budget
  • Work with a BDR‑led sales motion, not alone
